What is development? Is it not the fulfillment of a life; and does not this apply to every living system in its cycle from birth to death?

Consider the range of human activities in the past (if you can think of another please let us know):

Having and nurturing babies| making homes and preparing and processing food| husbanding animals| growing crops| hunting-gathering| building houses, furniture, bridges...| being poets, storytellers, musicians| talking philosophy and politics| dancing.

These are 9 activities of homo sapiens to this point; and, at one stage or another, each may be fulfilling. At this point of the new millennium, with conditons never before know, perhaps the pivotal skills are Communicating and Understanding Ourselves.

To accompany these skills there are meta skills : -

Learning How to Learn;

Learning to gain a heuristic view of our progress;

Learning to perform Inner Work.

These skills and meta skills operate in an atmosphere in which all learning is co-learning. Even as we sit alone, at a computer, we are signalling; and also receiving signals. These signals are information and it is about us, co-learning occurs.
